The Big Muddy Dance Company's spring concert will showcase the work of multifaceted creatives who are trailblazers in their respective artistic communities. IDENTITY concludes the 23/24 season with three unique programs to include world premieres by 2021 Guggenheim Fellow Tommie-Waheed Evans whose work intersects movement vocabulary that blends cultural forms and contemporary dance vocabularies, with narratives that are often rooted in the black experience, and 2022 Princess Grace Award Winning choreographer and director Omar Román de Jesús who uses his work to express the complexities of Latinx identities.
